There are all types of shells:

- Bankrupt companies
- Successful companies that sold off their assets and have cash
- Companies that shut down operations
- Companies that have never had any business

As far as the number of shells, there are 100’s on the OTCBB, and possibly thousands in the pink sheets. At times, there are a few on the NYSE, AMEX and NASDAQ.

Note that the ShellStockReview.Com only follows SEC Reporting shells … shells that are compliant with their reporting and audits. It is almost impossible to verify any information on Non-Reporting Pink Sheet shells.

Feel free to ask questions … that is what the Forum is for!

[Basic Questions]
I have read that many shell companies are bankrupt companies with no assets. Are all shell companies previously actual running companies?

I also wanted to ask if anybody could give a rough figure on how many shell companies there are on the market? In the pinks I'm assuming.

I am really enjoying using this site, I hope I am not asking too many questions, but I want to learn!!!

Thanks guys!
